AWS Visitor Counter Workshop

A hands-on AWS workshop for student developers — EC2, S3 and RDS, start to finish, with the starter code and slides written from scratch.

A build-along workshop taking a room of student developers from an empty AWS console to a working visitor counter across EC2, S3 and RDS. I designed it and wrote the starter code, the slides and the speaker notes.

The room was mixed — some people had shipped projects, some had never opened a terminal. Most of running it well was watching for the ones who'd gone quiet.
